Utah is a western state of the United States, with Salt Lake City being the capital and the most populous city. Utah is bordered by Arizona on the south, Colorado on the east, Wyoming on the northeast, Idaho on the north and Nevada on the west, and also touches a corner of New Mexico. The temperatures are extreme, with cold temperatures in the winter due to its elevation, and very hot summers statewide, (with the exception of mountain areas and high mountain valleys).Utah is known for being one of the most religiously homogeneous states in the Union as many are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon Church or LDS Church). Utah is also known for its winter activities and the Moab area of the southeastern part of the state is known for its challenging mountain biking trails.
